We are busy getting trucks loaded for Lucketts Spring Market but had to share this beauty that will be with us next weekend! This early 20th-century haberdashery cabinet was manufactered by the Wilmarth Show Case Co. which, like so many other great old furniture companies, was located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Back in the 1910s, if you were shopping for silk gloves, neckties, or "notions," you’d be looking through these exact glass-fronted drawers. We were thrilled that two drawers have the original instructional label is still largely intact! It shows the 16 different ways these drawers could be partitioned for everything from men’s soft collars to women’s hosiery.

We can't wait to build our space around this piece next week!! Overall dimensions - 48.5”L x 18.25"D x 84.25”H.

Lucketts Spring Market is at the Clarke County Fairgrounds in Berryville, VA May 15-17th!! You'll find us in the Arts & Crafts building again with all the great antiques and unique finds! We are sure to have something for you.πŸ¦ŠπŸ’œ

Keep an eye on our page for sneak peeks of what we are bringing this season!

Welp, I messed up yesterday. In my haste to get a Reel put together of that great wardrobe we posted yesterday, I completely FORGOT to both capture and mention the MOST amazing thing about it. Like...I damn near want to pull the thing down and redo it because I've been waiting to make it for a week just so I could tell this story..... then P**F... forgot. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ I have to at least post it if nothing else.

We love finding signatures on pieces we work on...messages are ICING! So imagine our GLEE when we saw this on the underside of a drawer. Someone back in 1949 apparently worked on this piece and wrote this message before sending it on its way: "May God grant that I may always do my best and please every one that is so kind to give me work. And Oh God please continue to bless me". πŸ’œ

Just like that last blessed worker who did their best to mend this old piece, Tim will add his name and message to another drawer when it's time for this piece to move on from us to start its next chapter. When buying antiques, always give things a good look.... you might get to do a little time travel!πŸ’œ

Now that we've had a little time to catch our breath, we just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who shopped our space and visited us at the Lucketts Fall Market. It was a great show and we are just so grateful to you all for showing up, for the support and compliments, and to the folks at Lucketts who make the opportunity and event possible. Our hearts are FULL (and still a little worn out). πŸ˜‰πŸ¦ŠπŸ

PS.... These custom designed, hand-printed cards (and many other sweet designs) are available ! Check our the page and the great things they do. 🦊
