You know how I just LOVE to see my furniture in its new home?

Seeing these two chairs in a local shop makes my heart sing! They may find themselves upstairs in the Airbnb, or they may stay inside Sugar River Shoppe in New Glarus.

Sometimes it's not about big changes, it's about updating the color and cleaning the surface.

Sometimes it's about making things feel fresh again.

These Badger chairs that came directly out of the UW Madison Field House are a perfect example of that. They just needed a little bit of love to make them feel fresh and clean again. With a new coat of paint and some gentle cleaning of the cushions, they feel ready for game day!

Now they are off to their home where they can enjoy many Badger games to come!

Workshop Tip of the Day 🪑

If you own antique chairs, please don’t pick them up by the arms 👀

I know it seems like the natural place to grab them, but the arms are often one of the weakest points on an older chair. Over time, lifting, pulling, or dragging a chair by the arms can loosen joints, weaken glue connections, and sometimes even cause the arms to separate completely.

The safest way to move a chair is by lifting it from the seat, front legs, or back frame… Not the arms 🙏🏼

I’ve had several people reach out recently needing arm repairs, and I figured this little tip might save someone an unnecessary repair bill 🤍

Old furniture can last for generations when it’s treated gently, and I always love helping people keep those special pieces around a little longer 🪵✨

When a client contacts you and tells you that their patio furniture needs an upgrade, you don't hesitate.

With 17 total projects to work on, I called in the help of to assist on this project and once again was not disappointed.

The clients picked out this absolutely stunning upholstery to bring their outdated cushions into a new era.
The striking green and white upholstery could not be more fitting for their beautiful home.
And now their patio will be a place of enjoyment for many years to come!

This is one of those before and afters that pretty much speaks for itself. And seeing the final photo of the chair in the client's home just makes my heart that much happier.
