I'm excited to announce that the journey is over and Major Ringgold is taking his last march. It began nearly 4 years ago and is ending tomorrow as the research for the last block is completed and on its way to those who signed up to receive this pattern Block-by-Block. They have been patient and supportive, indeed!

So, as a tickler, I will be consolidating all the block and research information into one complete pattern including all the "goodies" that will come with it! Be watching for those details here, on my website (https://www.hooplapatterns.com), and my Etsy store (https://www.etsy.com/shop/HooplaPatterns), for the official sell date of the complete pattern. If you'd like to be on a "tickle" list, email ([email protected])or PM me.

Can't wait to share this amazing Baltimore Album Quilt pattern with you!

Finishing up another block this week for The Major Ringgold Quilt. The entire quilt will be finished soon. SO grateful to those who have hung in with me on this project. The quilt blocks are not just patterns, but each filled with information, which takes me down such interesting rabbit holes as I research. Two more to go!

As I start the process of winding down my beloved business of 42 years, I'm preparing for my last workshop at Bayberry Quilters of Cape Cod next week. I was there probably 20 years ago, so it is fitting to be ending this journey with this wonderful Guild. I am NOT retiring, yet, just winding down.

I think she liked it! "The redware quilt pattern box arrived quickly, and I was so impressed with the quality! I cannot wait to get started on working each piece and learning the history behind the design which is included. This would make a wonderful gift for yourself or a loved one! Thank you!"🙂

Sheryl in MA will be receiving her Redwork pattern box today! This charming antique Redwork Quilt is sweet and in some ways, whimsical. Its appeal is not only that each of the 49 embroidered blocks are different, but also in wondering if there is a story being told in this 1891 quilt. Research gleaned suggests maybe so! In keeping with the time period, iron on transfer sheets are included for each block, along with lots of history. Look what Vicki S. finished! It's Block #2 From The Major Ringgold Quilt pattern. I love the richness of her fabric colors. The original block has a cross stitch signature of M. Orem. A great deal of research on the name is included in the pattern. I tend to go down rabbit holes when I begin the research in my patterns. It's just so fascinating!!

Check out Lynda's progress on her Emily Munroe quilt! She's thrilled to be starting it, as she ordered the pattern 11 years ago!! See - it's nice to have a project in the wings waiting for you when you want it! I giggled when she said she was going to work on it while watching the Super Bowl as she lives in Canada! Football is pervasive - or maybe she just likes the ads 😃 Great job so far, Lynda, and enjoy the journey!!
