Tried two new things recently. First, I added mason stain to some of my reclaim while still in liquid form, then made a wheel thrown planter using it once it had dried enough to wedge into a ball. Second, I kept the scraps and trimmings of the (hopefully purple) clay and marbled it together with my BMix (off white) clay, and used that to make the drip plate to go with the planter. Can’t wait until these pieces get through the drying and firing stages, to see if I added enough amethyst mason stain to actually fire a noticeable purple!
