I love playing with hardware placement to make a space feel truly custom. For the wet bar, I stacked globe k***s vertically against that bold, high-gloss red. For the cottage cabinets, I paired up their classic egg k***s on every drawer. It’s a reminder that even the smallest details can be unexpected and fun!

Now let me show you the custom double doors we sprinkled throughout the house. We designed these specifically to bring a sense of character to our ground up. I chose hardware for that perfect balance of old and new design and I especially love these egg k***s paired with rectangular rosettes. By centering them to each door panel, the hardware feels unexpected, yet remains perfectly functional for this scale. My favorite part is the brass steeple-tip hinges! It’s a small detail that adds so much personality.

Choosing hardware is where you can really have some fun, so I went with unlacquered brass globe k***s from for our kitchen cabinetry. I’ve always preferred k***s over pulls, and because I naturally grab from the center, I ditched the standard two-knob placement. Instead, I installed three k***s on the drawers. It’s a small tweak that makes a huge, unexpected impact. It’s much more striking with three, no? Don’t be afraid to go a little maximalist when it comes to the details.

It’s hard to wrap my heart around the fact that these are the last photos of our furry babies together. This afternoon, our sweet Sterling got his angel wings. He first found Ryan in New Orleans East and brought so much joy to our lives. He was Verbena’s favorite brother, a social butterfly who loved all our friends and fam, a lover of road trips, the king of side-eyes, and my best napping buddy. We are truly so lucky and grateful for 14 years of unconditional love. Rest easy, my sweet Ster-Ster.

Now let’s step inside the water closet of my moody dreams. I chose ’s “Before Midnight” wallpaper in chocolate because it has this fuzzy, textural quality and the florals perfectly softens up all the geometric patterns. Wallpaper has always been my favorite way to make a room feel finished. It brings depth to a blank wall that paint just can’t replicate sometimes, especially in smaller, tucked-away spaces. We love Backdrop so much we also used their Floralia Sisal in the guest bath and Tropical Safari in the powder room! And the artwork is a lithograph I made way back in the days!

I transformed my bedroom nook into a little dreamy corner for me and Verbena. I knew I wanted to use wallpaper from , and ‘Ascendance’ in Dusk was the perfect match for our peachy tones. Between the clouds and the Greek goddesses, it feels less like wallpaper and more like a hand-painted mural illustrated by artist Xavier Donnelly. Beyond the design, it’s meaningful to me to support an AAPI-owned brand. My lovely friend, is a visionary and a fellow Aries! It’s been a joy to have her collections of wallpaper come to life in our spaces. I can’t recommend Backdrop enough.

A closer look at how the light plays in this kitchen. The walls completely shift the mood depending on the time of day, moving from a dusty Marrakech blush to a peachy sorbet. The lime wash creates such a beautiful backdrop for the hood and backsplash, highlighting that unexpected angle detail that you really have to see in person to appreciate it.

This primary shower was custom-made for THE CLIENT who loves an ultimate 20-minute morning soak. Me? I’m a two-minute shower guy. Maybe three if I’m feeling fancy! Also, a huge sigh of relief that we skipped installing a steam shower. After hearing endless horror stories about mold and leaks, it was a hard pass. Instead, we let the materials do the talking: a stunning plaster finish by the local New Orleans expert , perfectly framed with marble trim and that cute, squished elliptical arch

Bringing the indoors out is one of my favorite design challenges. I don’t get to do it often, but figuring out how to blend daily life with nature and mapping out landscaping is so fun. We are still tweaking our own outdoor spaces at the new house. In the meantime, I’m walking down memory lane with a few outdoor projects from over the years. Cheers to the weekend! Can you believe summer is already right around the corner?

A peek from the living room into the kitchen. Instead of a completely open-concept layout, we used these squished elliptical arches to give each room its own identity, but kept the layout open enough for hosting and kitchen karaoke, obviously!
