This is a recent kitchen remodel I did. Nice soft neutrals are so much more welcoming than the bright white and cool grey that has been so overused these last years. The dark floor serves as a nice anchor to the space. Believe it or not, the light wood on the cabinets is laminate. The new laminates look as much like wood as real wood does, plus it's very durable and easy to clean. I designed the workflow and custom cabinets for practicality and ease of use. This is a design that will last and be enjoyed by my client for many years to come.

Any of you who know me know that I have been puke sick of white and cold gray interiors for about 5 years now. I am happy to see that that trend is finally seeing its end. Now, don't get me wrong, I love gray. But I prefer a warm gray and love to pair it with beige for a soft, timeless look. For another timeless look incorporate it with brown (and black or charcoal). It's timeless, very classy and easy to live with.

I haven't posted in ages, but I've been having fun on all kinds of design projects. Recently I did the furniture for a very modern house, where we selected lots of Italian modern furniture in neutral colors. But when it came to the kid's game room, we went all out on color. Back wall is a canvas artwork with tack pads on each side. These tack pads are now covered in drawings by the 10 year old budding artist in the house. And, the tack walls also provide sound control for the room, which can be noisy.
