DIY-ing a Vintage Halloween Party - Part 7

We officially have a PHOTO BOOTH!

For Part 7, I’m creating a super simple Halloween photo booth backdrop using disposable tablecloths and a banner I made myself.

I started by cutting the banner by hand… then decided my Cricut could take over. After cutting the tablecloths into strips, I hung and layered them to create the backdrop before adding the finished banner.

Such inexpensive materials, but together they make a BIG impact (exactly the kind of DIY I love for party decorating).

There’s just one thing missing…

Photo booth props!

So I guess I know what I’m making next.

DIY-ing a Vintage Halloween Party - Part 6

Time to spook up the cupcakes!

This is such a simple Halloween trick: I cut a reusable acetate stencil with my Cricut and used it to turn regular cupcakes into little pumpkin and ghost treats.

The same stencil can be used on cookies too and because it’s reusable, you can make an entire batch without having to decorate every face individually.

Quick, easy, and another little detail to add to our vintage Halloween party.

Six projects down! Follow along for Part 7…

DIY-ing a Vintage Halloween Party - Part 5

Sometimes it’s the easiest little details that make the whole party feel special.

For Part 5, I’m turning plain party cups into Vintage Halloween cups using stickers I printed and cut with my Cricut Maker 4.

Print → cut → peel → stick. That’s it.

It’s such a quick and inexpensive DIY, but once these are sitting alongside the popcorn boxes, party bags and all the other pieces we’ve made so far, everything starts to feel like it belongs together.

Five projects down… and we’re definitely not finished yet.

Save this idea for your Halloween party and follow along as I keep DIY-ing the whole thing!

DIY-ing a Vintage Halloween Party - Part 4

Remember the vintage popcorn boxes from Part 2? Today we’re filling them!

I made this ridiculously easy Spooky Popcorn Mix for the party. It’s sweet, salty, crunchy and very Halloween.

For the mix I used:

8 cups Popcorn
1 cup Mini pretzels
1 cup Mini marshmallows
1 cup M&M’s
½ cup melted candy melts
Halloween sprinkles

Mix the popcorn, pretzels, marshmallows and M&M’s together, drizzle over the melted candy melts. Mix together before adding plenty of sprinkles. Let it set.

Then into our little vintage popcorn boxes it goes.

Part 4 is done and this DIY Vintage Halloween Party is starting to come together!

Save this one for your Halloween party, and follow along because there’s still a lot more to make.

DIY-ing a Vintage Halloween Party - Part 3

Today I’m making these tiny vintage Halloween party bags!

I printed the designs at home and assembled each one into a little chip-size bag. They’re the perfect size for snacks or party favors and I’ll be filling mine with Halloween goodies later in the series.

Wait for the reveal at the end to see how they turned out.

We’re only on Part 3 and there’s a LOT more of this vintage Halloween party still to make…

Follow along to see the whole party come together.
