“Yellow is the new Black” as shown by the new button sculpture on 39th and 7th. This historic sculpture underwent a distinct redesign, boasting a stainless steel needle and thread going through the taxicab yellow button. The information kiosk from the previous design was removed due to the advance of mobile devices and the internet. The new design promotes higher visibility and less pedestrian traffic. ⁣

Our next Feature Friday highlights a classy men’s 2-piece hat designed by Giselle Habert⁣ (). She used our 2x18 Clear⁣ Graph Ruler 📏 to measure out the patterns, Gutermann thread 🧵 to construct⁣ the hat and braided stitch detail of the petersham ribbon, Aleene’s Tacky Glue ⁣to attach the ribbon to the hat, and heavy duty snaps 🔘for the earpiece.⁣

Middle Eastern roots, is an accessories designer and FIT Footwear and Accessories⁣
Design alumni ().  She started⁣
making headwear in the millinery certification class at FIT. To create this brown⁣
suede hat, she drew inspiration from Chanel- aiming for a stylized⁣
workwear/utilitarian look.👷🕴️🧳🤩⁣
