A small gift for everyone who visits Tayutau.
Kohakuto — Japanese crystal candy in deep blue, cut like raw mineral stones.
The way it catches the light felt right at home among the ceramics.

TAYUTAU | たゆたう
between the everyday and the ritual
Vessels belong to everyday life, yet they also create moments of stillness.

We are delighted to share TAYUTAU, a gathering inspired by Bōshu (芒種), one of the 24 seasonal markers of the traditional Japanese calendar. It is the early summer season when grains begin to grow and the quiet presence of water can be felt in the air.

For this one-hour experience, guests are invited to enjoy ochazuke — a simple and comforting dish of rice seasoned with Kyoto organic matcha by and sea salt, accompanied by tsukudani grilled miso, seasonal pickles, and ume plum paste, then finished with warm dashi broth.

After the meal, a trio of monaka by .nyc will be served, filled with white bean paste, yomogi bean paste, and yuzu bean paste.

The experience concludes with cold brew sencha from Yame, Fukuoka, and Japanese incense, offering a quiet moment to savor the flavors and aromas of the season.

Holding a vessel.
Pouring tea.
Sharing a meal.

Small everyday gestures that gently transform into ritual.

We look forward to sharing this intimate gathering with you.

Kyusu

Holding Ito's kyusu creates a moment.
Not a tea bag — but leaves measured, water cooled, poured with intention. That quiet sequence carves a pause into a busy day.
The more you use it, the more it glows. A kyusu that grows with you, becoming a little more yours with every brew.
A small vessel. A richer everyday.

Vermillion / 朱泥 version (add-on or swap the last line)
The vermillion clay — rich in iron — is said to soften the tea, lending it a rounder, gentler taste. A small vessel. A richer everyday.
