We are excited to share that Blondie’s Howard Freilich was recently honored at Queens Botanical Garden’s 2026 Rambling Rose Gala.

This recognition is especially meaningful because Howard’s connection to QBG goes all the way back to when he was 16 years old and working there as an intern. Over the years, that relationship has continued through Blondie’s ongoing work with the Garden.

The event raised over $200,000 for the Garden, all of which will support their educational programming, cultural events, and botanical collections.

It was a beautiful evening honoring Howard’s lifelong connection to plants and community.
