PID FLOORS was excited to host Retail Design Institute: NY at our New York City flagship showroom for a lively evening of music, design, industry connection, community building, and yes, a bit of friendly competition. The Retail Design Institute promotes the advancement and collaborative practice of creating selling environments. Serving the greater New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut area, the New York Chapter of the Retail Design Institute is the largest chapter in the RDI organization, working alongside colleges and universities to develop retail design programs while also promoting continuing education and continuing education credits to improve the skill sets of working professionals. This joyful summer design event brought together designers, architects, retail professionals, and industry friends for a fun evening filled with games, ice cream, and endless conversations about design. A few our of favorite things.

We wanted to write a book for our children (and our clients’ families) about who we are and what we do. Our first book is all about where the story of hardwood floors begins— the trees. ☀️ Extremely HOT and HUMID summer weather is not ideal for Hardwood Flooring. So, consider this your friendly reminder to turn those air conditioners ON!

☀️ Keeping your AC units running throughout this intense heat and humidity is the best way to care for your Wood Floors throughout the summer.

☀️ The NWFA recommends maintaining a temperature range of 60 to 80 degrees with a relative humidity range of 30% and 50%. When your skin feels good inside, we promise your Wood Flooring will too!
