HLW Principal, LA Managing Director, Sejal Sonani, and Senior Project Architect, Andrew Mangan, recently celebrated the topping out of our new project, 9000 Wilshire, in Beverly Hills. This new office development project will include flexible floorplates, outdoor workspaces, operable windows, and epic views from the rooftop deck. We look forward to the completion of 9000 Wilshire in Q3 of 2022.

For Schrödinger's new Times Square office, HLW's BEYOND team raised the bar with regards to sustainability and wellness. BEYOND was able to reduce the office's total embodied carbon by 55% (when compared to the industry average) through thoughtful design and informed specifications. Additionally, the project is certified LEED v4 ID+C Gold, Fitwel 2 Stars, and WELL Health-Safety.

Earlier in March HLW Design Principal, Louise Sharp, had the pleasure of presenting at the Los Angeles Headquarters Association 2022 Roundtable event to showcase projects that encapsulate the future of architecture. Our work for GHJ was one of the featured projects for its responsive and flexible workplace strategy.

We designed GHJ's workplace to be multipurpose and easily transformative to meet their growing needs. Project challenges arose due to COVID, which drove our team to be increasingly flexible and innovative. By coupling exploration with risk assessment, the future becomes less unpredictable.
