Years ago we were on a family trip to Block Island and I laughed out loud when I saw cocktail napkins emblazoned with the Jerry Seinfeld quote “there is no such thing as fun for the whole family”. I have thought about that quote on each family trip there after - usually after innocently suggesting that we do something seemingly harmless such as taking a family hike or visit to (you can fill in the blank here) a church, garden or museum, only to be met with a chorus of audible sighs or outright protests. The only thing Mancinis seem to do perfectly together is “beach”. That is, until we spent spring break in Morocco.
Morocco stopped me dead in my tracks at least a hundred times and my family felt the same. The kindness, the history, the colors, the sunsets, the tiles, the textiles, the rooftops, THE DOORS, and the local animals greeting us everywhere we went. We took classes, a walking tour and even hiked without complaint! My family indulged me in rug shopping, pottery perusing and textile obsessing. It was a dream, truly, and one that will continue to feed our work and my family’s memories for a very long time.

Together we have traveled, have had the great fortune to design countless homes for so many wonderful clients, we’ve grown our dream team, grown our families, fine-tuned a process, and now a have a light-filled design studio in the sky.

We are so excited that a new chapter of our firm begins now as we formalize our 15 years of collaboration.

Bella Mancini Design is now Mancini Burns Design.

Kicking off the new year, I’m very excited to share some big news about the future of our studio.

After 25 years as Bella Mancini Design, we’re stepping into a new chapter.

Beginning today, our firm will become Mancini Burns Design — a name that reflects the partnership between Taryn Burns, who has been an essential part of our story for 15 years, and me.

Taryn’s talent, integrity, and leadership have been central to our success. I’m happy to have formalized what has long been true in spirit — that Taryn is an invaluable partner in every sense. This new name marks a fresh evolution for the business and an even stronger foundation for the future.

I’ve just returned from three soul filling days in Naples for .Napoli which exceeded my expectations. I hadn’t really been to Naples until this trip and to say it blew my mind is an understatement. The city was described by one of our hosts as a combination of “the beautiful and the ugly” and truer words could not be spoken about this chaotic yet enchanting ancient place. I loved each and every minute of this experience and I am so honored to have been included. Thank you, Emilia, Claudia and Mikla. I really had the best time and cannot wait for next year. Our trip was also made possible by the never out of energy (or patience) , I love you to the moon. Thank you for being our guide, translator and fun facilitator. You are the absolute best.

Thank you for putting my feelings into perfect words. My heart has felt so heavy as I read of the destruction in my home state of California. I am so sorry to my friends, colleagues and family who have lost their homes and my heart goes out to all my LA friends who are on stand by waiting to hear what is to happen next. It’s worth saying that I am not really one to host trunk shows but I am doing this with one of my bestest friends, who is a personal shopper in Rome and all around gal with incredible taste AND I happen to also just absolutely love both of these brands. You probably already know outwear. They are so chic and unique and the perfect coat for updating your fall/winter wardrobe. They are hard to find in stores but they will have lots of styles here for you to try on and also will have all the cute collars and hoods and things to play with. So it’s worth coming for them alone. BUT DO YOU KNOW about ? Alysa wore a pair of their PJs out to dinner while she was visiting us in August and I just about died they were so fabulous. They are so gorgeous and comfy and made from deadstock fabric from fancy fashion houses. I really think you will love them.

I don't know if you've heard but today is National Favorite Child Day and so this goes out to Maisy Mae Mancini; sock stealer, ball fetcher, professional sniffer, belly rub lover,seagull chaser, trick performer and so much more. From the minute the doctor put her into my arms all I felt was pure motherly love. 🤰 I hope one day her siblings will learn to be as kind and loving as she is.
