Lighting has the power to completely change the feeling of a home.

The right lighting makes a dinner feel more intimate. A living room feel calmer at night. A bathroom feel tasteful for getting ready each morning. An entry feel welcoming the moment you walk through the door.

That’s why we think beyond the fixture itself, and focus on how a space should feel at different times of day. We consider how our clients move through their homes, and how lighting can create warmth and atmosphere without feeling harsh or overdone.

The best home office doesn't feel like an office at all.

This custom workspace from our Lincoln Center Penthouse was built for real productivity, and real comfort. A wallpaper, layered textures, and tonal furnishings in cream and deep blue create an environment that's calm without being too quiet. Brass and gold-toned accents tie it back to the home's art deco spirit, keeping everything cohesive and grounded.

Designing around an art collection doesn't have to feel complicated.

Many of our clients want their pieces to lead, without being overshadowed by a busy interior. So we practice restraint. In this Park Avenue living room, crisp white gallery walls and ivory-toned, rounded furnishings create a soft backdrop. Delicate drapery filters the natural light, allowing the artwork to hold its color and presence throughout the day.

When we're deliberate with the surrounding elements, the art no longer fights for attention. Rather, it defines the room. →

Every dining room needs its conversation starter. A statement piece that should feel intentional, yet never overpowering.

In our Bronxville dining room, the mirror immediately draws your attention through its scale and silhouette, complete with a hammered gold finish. But what makes the room work is the balance around it.

We took into account the millwork's symmetry and the sconce placement. From there, we intentionally layered vases, flowers, bowls, and candles to create balance; all set against an elegant, verdant wall mural.

What if the foyer could be a statement instead of a mere threshold?

For this 1900s English-inspired residence in Bronxville, we let the historic architecture lead. Rich wood paneling wraps the walls; wainscoting and delicate moulding intact. A high-gloss ceiling adds unexpected contrast and lifts the eye upward, while shades of blue echo the sky-blue front door. A marble-topped entry table grounds it all in quiet, old-world authority.

A room that tells you everything about the home before you've seen any of it.
