If you loved our Sticky Honey Garlic Chicken Bites, you are going to love this veggie version. I made these last Tuesday when I needed something fast, and my husband went back for seconds before dinner was even on the table.
Same sticky, glossy honey garlic sauce you remember, but tossed with crispy cauliflower bites instead of chicken. No deep frying, no big mess. I use my air fryer and it comes out perfectly golden every time.
This is a wonderful meatless Monday option, and the grandkids think they are eating takeout.
You will need
1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite size florets
3 tablespoons cornstarch, pinch of salt and pepper
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons honey, 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
Sesame seeds and sliced green onion for topping
How I make it
1. Toss cauliflower with cornstarch, salt and pepper. Air fry at 400 degrees for 12 minutes, shake halfway, until crispy.
2. While it cooks, warm the garlic in a skillet, add honey, soy sauce and vinegar. Simmer 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce is thick and glossy.
3. Toss the hot cauliflower right in the sauce, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve warm.
It is sweet, savory, a little sticky, and so satisfying with rice or on its own.
