A GROUNDING PRESENCE. The bench from the GLASS collection, represented exclusively by , is featured here in Bronze Topaz. Designed to act as an anchor within a room, the piece carries a sense of weight while allowing light to move through and around its cast glass form. Both functional and sculptural, the bench shifts with its surroundings, reflecting light throughout the day and bringing movement and versatility to the home. CL

CONTEXTUAL TEXTURE. In this guest bedroom, a muted palette creates a backdrop for the family’s collection of Southeast Asian furniture and art. The large, elaborate tapestry behind the bed introduces pattern and visual depth, while the patterned rug and wood pieces throughout the room bring additional texture, materiality, and warmth. CL

A VIEW, FRAMED. The living room of this West Village apartment is defined by its connection to New York, with views across the Hudson River to the New Jersey skyline providing an unmistakable sense of place. A neutral palette allows the architecture and surrounding cityscape to take focus, while the client’s layered art collection, including works by Asher Liftin and pieces from my STUDIOTWENTYSEVEN GLASS collection, brings personal history and character into the space. AN ATYPICAL ISLAND PALETTE. The Bahamas guest bedroom embraces pattern, texture, and saturated moments of color while remaining grounded in the natural palette of its surroundings. Bamboo, warm woods, sand-toned textiles, and woven materials create a connection to the landscape, while floral fabrics and artwork introduce moments of pattern throughout the space. By balancing vibrant hues with softer, earthy tones, the room feels both serene and visually engaging , a composition that reflects the colors and textures of the Bahamas without relying on expected beach references. A NEW CHAPTER. After 10 years of designing from this SoHo office, a meaningful chapter comes to a close. This space has been the backdrop for countless projects, concepts, material explorations, and ideas brought to life. Being rooted in SoHo over the past decade has been an incredible part of the journey, and I’m grateful for everything this space has represented.

Now, we’re looking ahead to an exciting new chapter as the studio moves to Madison Square Park, a space that reflects where the practice is today and where it’s headed next. More soon. CL

A SATURATED APPROACH. One of my most versatile projects from a color perspective. The Bahamas residence was an opportunity to explore saturation, vibrancy, and unexpected combinations through a palette inspired by its tropical setting. CL

FRAMED BY LIGHT. The sunroom’s design begins with its defining architectural feature: a series of oversized windows and French doors that immerse the space in natural light and create a direct connection to the surrounding Seattle landscape. To complement this openness, I introduced a pared-back palette of natural woods, woven matchstick shades, and soft neutrals, allowing texture and materiality to bring warmth and depth to the space. BEFORE AND AFTER. A look into the transformation of this Aspen residence. The house originally had a ‘90s contemporary feel, so the goal was to bring back the warmth and character of Aspen homes from the 1970s in a way that still felt current. We introduced a series of targeted interventions, from a sculptural fireplace wall that encases the television and anchors the asymmetrical living room to warmer materials, custom furnishings, and updated finishes throughout, to create a home that feels connected to its setting without relying on familiar mountain design clichés. CALIFORNIA EASE, NEW YORK PERSPECTIVE. Designed with a California sensibility in mind, this West Village apartment embraces warmth, ease, and a collected approach to interiors. The art collection became a defining element of the space , allowing each piece to exist naturally within a home shaped by personal expression rather than a predetermined aesthetic. CL

OUTSIDE THE EXPECTED. The outdoor spaces of this Bahamas residence were designed to reflect the surrounding landscape while moving beyond the expected language of a traditional beach house. A palette of aqua tones, natural materials, and softened neutrals creates continuity with the tropical setting, while unexpected elements introduce contrast and visual interest. At the center of the garden, Jaume Plensa’s Wilsis Whispering marble face sculpture adds an unexpected artistic moment, reinforcing the home’s balance of tropical influence, refined materials, and unexpected details.
