Hey everyone - sorry for the personal post, but my uncle is in the hospital in NYC and there is no one on staff that can read lips. Does anyone know someone or is there anyone locally that I can hire to come to the hospital to read his lips? It’s all he can do right now… please dm me.

Using an Italian silicone for molding a rock. The Za-10 is a low viscosity flexible platinum based silicone for high production projects. It comes in several sizes and although packaged differently (in kilos) the price is about the same as domestic silicones.

Making a mold in the field. Sometimes working on site can complicate the process with things like material scarcity or lack of temperature control. So always remember to try to plan as much as possible. Do as I say not as I did…. 😊. We used a platinum based silicone on a natural “dead” piece of coral. We did not need a sealer nor a release agent in this case. The we cast a copy in polyurethane resin. This mold can be used many times. I know the safety protocols were lacking but I was in a pinch on a not so deserted island paradise.
