Simple Italian Cake with 12 Tablespoons 🇮🇹
Ingredients:
3 eggs
12 tablespoons sugar
12 tablespoons oil
12 tablespoons milk
12 tablespoons flour
Zest and juice of half a lemon
11g baking powder
20cm cake pan
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 180°C (356°F) to heat up.
Mix the Wet Ingredients:
In a bowl, whisk together 3 eggs and 12 tablespoons of sugar until smooth and creamy. Add 12 tablespoons of oil and continue mixing. Then pour in 12 tablespoons of milk and stir to combine.
Add the Dry Ingredients:
Gradually sift in 12 tablespoons of flour while stirring to avoid lumps. Then, add the zest and juice of half a lemon for a fresh citrus kick. Stir in 11g of baking powder.
Prepare the Pan:
Grease a 20cm cake pan and pour the batter into it.
Bake the Cake:
Place the pan in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown. To check, insert a toothpick in the center—it should come out clean.
Cool and Serve:
Once baked, let the cake cool. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle a lemon glaze on top for an extra touch of sweetness. Slice and enjoy!
