Sunflowers fade as seasons shift,
Their golden heads begin to lift
One final glance at summer's grace
Before they bow in crisp embrace.

Raw wood breathes with timeworn lines,
A scent of age, of roots, of pines.
Each groove a tale, each grain a trace
Of lives once lived in quiet space.

The air turns cool, the colors shift,
The days grow short, the shadows lift.
Yet in the fading light, we see
The beauty in what used to be.
