Happy Sunday Everyone!
I’m sharing this beautiful Sunday devotion from Rebecca over at The Farm Stand. I truly believe someone needs to hear this today. It’s a timely message and a wonderful reminder for where we are right now.

I pray it encourages your heart as much as it did mine. ❤️🙏

Sunday Devotion: God, I’m Tired

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Have you ever been tired in a way that sleep doesn’t fix?

I’m not talking about the kind of tired that comes after a long day of work, cleaning the house, chasing kids, tending the garden or running from one thing to the next. I’m talking about that deep-down tired. The kind you carry in your heart.

Sometimes we get tired from simply being strong.

Strong for our spouse. Strong for our children. Strong for our grandchildren. Strong for our parents. Strong for the people who depend on us. We answer, “I’m fine.” We keep going. We make the meals, show up where we’re needed, encourage everyone else and try to keep a smile on our face.

But God knows when we’re tired.

There are seasons when we become weary from praying the same prayer over and over. We’ve asked God to heal. We’ve asked Him to provide. We’ve asked Him to restore a relationship. We’ve asked Him to open a door. We’ve asked Him to help someone we love. And still…we wait.

Maybe you’ve even whispered, “Lord, I’m tired of this.”

I think sometimes we feel guilty admitting that to God. We think strong faith means we should always be positive, always hopeful and never weary.

But Jesus never said, “Come to Me when you have everything together.”

He said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Come tired.

Come weary.

Come when you don’t understand.

Come when your faith feels strong, and come when all you can manage is a whisper.

Just come.

There is something so comforting about knowing we don’t have to explain our exhaustion to God. He already knows what we’ve been carrying. He knows about the things we talk about, and He knows about the things we haven’t told another soul.

He sees the strong ones, too.

Maybe today you are the person everybody else leans on. Maybe you’re the prayer warrior, the caregiver, the encourager, the fixer, the one who keeps everybody moving forward.

But even the strong need somewhere to rest.

And that somewhere is Jesus.

Resting in Him doesn’t necessarily mean our circumstances immediately change. The diagnosis may still be there tomorrow. The bills may still need to be paid. The relationship may still need healing. The answer we’ve been waiting for may not come today.

God’s rest is something deeper.

It’s knowing that while we may be tired, He is not.

While we may not know what tomorrow holds, He does.

While our strength has limits, His does not.

So maybe this Sunday you don’t need another reminder to “be strong.”

Maybe you need permission to be tired.

Sit with God for a while. Tell Him exactly how you feel. You don’t need fancy words. You don’t even need a long prayer.

“God, I’m tired. I need You.”

That’s enough.

And then rest there for a little while.

Because you don’t have to come to Jesus strong.

You just have to come.

Let’s pray.

Gracious God, You know when I’m tired and weary. You know the burdens I carry and the prayers I’m still waiting to see answered. Today I bring it all to You.

Give me strength for today, peace for my heart and the rest that only You can give. Help me remember that I don’t have to carry everything alone. Draw me close and help me trust You with what I cannot control.

In Jesus’ name, Amen. ❤️

Have a blessed Sunday, friends. ❤️

Well, friends, I wanted to give y’all a little update on my father-in-law and first share this absolutely gorgeous view my mother-in-law sent from outside his hospital room. Isn’t it amazing? Even in the middle of difficult days, God has a way of reminding us of His beauty.

Thank you all so much for the prayers, kind messages, and encouragement. They mean more to our family than you know.

Today was about the same for my father-in-law. His biggest struggle right now is the severe pain and inflammation in his knees. He hasn’t been able to stand on his own and is having a hard time even with assistance because the pain is so intense. The doctors have started him on steroids to help with the inflammation, but because of his recent heart surgery, they don’t want to give him NSAIDs.

They’ve begun discussing the possibility of sending him to a rehab facility once he’s released from the hospital, although we don’t know yet when that will be. The steroids are also causing his blood sugar levels to run high. He is not diabetic, but the doctors are treating it with insulin and keeping a close eye on everything.

My sweet mother-in-law, Carol, finally went home today to shower and take care of a few things she needed to do. After a little time at home, she headed right back to the hospital and is settling in for another night by his side. ❤️ Thank you Steve & Lorie for being a blessing and help to them today! 🤗

We would be so grateful for your continued prayers—for relief from his pain, healing for his body, wisdom for his medical team, strength for Carol, and a complete recovery in the days ahead.

Thank you for praying for our family. The prayers and well wishes have been so encouraging. We are trusting God one day at a time. 🙏🏻❤️

Well, this definitely isn’t winning any awards for my best video, but hey… it’s a video nonetheless! 😂

It’s been one of those days where I’ve been coming and going, going and coming, and by supper time this Gigi needed something quick, easy, and fuss-free!

Thankfully, I knew I couldn’t go wrong with Brown Pearcy Cattle Company all-beef hot dogs, and sure enough, they saved the day! 🌭❤️

Sometimes supper doesn’t have to be fancy. Sometimes it just needs to be hot, tasty, and on the table before you hear, “What’s for supper?” 🤣

Y’all have a wonderful Friday evening! I’m fixing to kick back, relax, and call it a day. 🥰

The Lord is working! 🙌🏼❤️

Today was truly a much better day, and I believe my father-in-law has turned a corner in the right direction. He was moved from the Coronary ICU to a regular room today!

He still has a ways to go, but praise the Lord, he is on the road to recovery. ❤️‍🩹

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every prayer, message, and word of encouragement. They mean more than you know.

We are continuing to trust God for healing, and we ask that you please keep the prayers coming for a complete recovery. We serve a mighty God! 🙏🏼❤️
