It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Judy Lombardi. Judy passed Saturday March 15, 2025 after a brief illness. For decades Judy and her husband Marshall worked side by side to run their successful small business. Judy was the heart and soul of Newport Builders. Customers always enjoyed her sense of humor and her southern twang. She brought a smile to the faces of many over the years.

We are devastated and appreciate everyone's patience with us this past week. Being that we are all family, it has been difficult to navigate through this and to keep the normal business operations up and running. We will be closed Monday March 24, 2025 to honor our beloved Judy. We will resume normal business operations on Tuesday March 25, 2025.

Happy Birthday to Newport
One of our state’s oldest communities, Newport officially was incorporated April 17, 1873. More than a century earlier, however, businessman John Justis – an ancestor of the Justis Bros of later TV and major appliance fame – bought 100 acres that ultimately became the town. Noted as the home of colonial era inventor Oliver Evans, who revolutionized milling and created the high-pressure steam engine, Newport grew into an important port and railroad town with a long history of manufacturing and commerce.
