Preppy coastal design, but with more color, more pattern, and a little more personality.

We’re so used to seeing coastal homes done in soft neutrals and blues, but some of the most memorable spaces lean into something more expressive, layered, tailored, but still relaxed.

Feeling inspired by the beautiful designs showcased at the Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach, I’m sharing my take on a Palm Beach meets Newport approach, where crisp colors, bold textiles, and thoughtful details come together in a way that feels fresh and fun.

I just shared a new blog post exploring this direction, and how this style can translate into your own home.

Site visit this morning, and it’s always exciting to see everything starting to come together.

There’s still more to be done, but the progress is there, and those early stages are what set the foundation for everything that follows. Looking forward to seeing this one continue to take shape!

Design intuition isn’t something you learn from a formula. It comes from listening closely, asking the right questions, and truly understanding how people live.

For me, personally connecting with clients is at the heart of every project. When we understand what matters most, the design decisions become clearer, more meaningful, and ultimately more livable.

I just shared a new blog post on how intuition, collaboration, and connection shape the work we do at Maloney Interiors. Link in bio.
