This is a piece I made in spring of 2022 for our former pastor when she left Shalom Mennonite Church. The green glass represents the prairies of Kansas. The yellow glass represents the Kansas wheat fields and the blue glass represents the expansive Kansas skies. The straight pieces in the middle mimic an art piece at the front of our sanctuary.

This is an older piece that I made. I like to call it “Fire & Ice.” The first time I went on retreat in Colorado, Jeremy dropped me off at the hermitage and I was all alone in my little cabin. I had started a fire in my cabin’s stove and all of a sudden a hail storm came through. It was a little bit jolting and I loved the juxtaposition of the fire and ice.
