The last two images on the footboard have been blended in and all that’s left is the backside of the footboard to make this custom complete.
Even though it’s 95% complete there still feels like a lot of little things left on the “to do” list.

Making progress on this custom but waiting on client response. When you’re in the flow and have to stop and wait, now that’s a tough one for a creative 😂😂. This creative anyway, hahaha 😂

I find myself back in the shop this week working on a custom commission piece. It’s an odd feeling after being away for so long. I feel rusty, have no idea where things are, and I am tripping over all the projects I left undone so long ago.
Perhaps this is the spark I need to get back in the game or just continue this as a “hobby”.

This piece has finally found its new home! Thankful it will be loved by a new family.

I will be working on clearing out my remaining pieces as I continue to make the ultimate decision; do I hang up my brushes or wait to get back into the creative flow. It’s been quite a journey and I have loved creating so many wonderful pieces while saving history. But this health journey has consumed so much of my time that I wonder if I can give Blue Orchid Furniture and Decor the time it needs to grow. I will continue to take commissions as they come in and I will continue to create but perhaps on a smaller scale to keep things local.

I thank you all who have supported this journey through likes, comments, shares, and purchases. It meant the world to me. Truly blessed for all of you.

This piece finally sold and headed to New Jersey to a wonderful couple expecting a baby girl. 2106 Transport did an amazing job ensuring it arrived at its new home in perfect condition.

Got the idea to make these from watching a tutorial from ThriftedWolf on YouTube. She’s very creative and her designs are amazing. Everyone should check her out ❤️

It’s been a long time since I posted and thought I should give a brief update as to what’s been happening here.

Trying some new things including upcycled clothing which is now available in my Etsy shop. But clothing isn’t the only new thing going on this year. If you have noticed any of my stories lately you know I am delving into clean living. Making much of what we consume and use in our home, eliminating as much toxins as possible.

This was quite the score yesterday, I mean how stinking cute is this??? Not touching a thing on it, it’s perfect as is. Gonna weather proof with spar varnish and add this beauty to the garden.

Went with the 3/4 sleeve and added more to the bottom. Been quite the learning process. I am getting very familiar with the seam ripper that’s for sure 😂😂

On the mannequin this morning and the progress thus far.
Need to decide if I want to make it a 3/4 sleeve, short sleeve, or no sleeve. Gonna give myself time to think on that one. What do you think would look best??
