17 June 2026: Work It Lesia

Something beautiful happened for me today that most people may not even notice.

This morning I realized the man I love didn’t sleep well the night before.

So instead of staying in the room working like I normally do, I quietly gathered my things & moved my workspace so he could continue resting peacefully.

And as simple as that sounds…

It made me stop & think.

Real love is not always found in the big moments.

Sometimes love looks like quietly protecting someone’s peace.
Sometimes love looks like consideration.
Sometimes love looks like noticing what another person needs without them having to ask.

For so many years I experienced relationships very differently.

Today I found myself naturally wanting to nurture what we have built together.

Not because I had to.
Not because I was afraid.
But simply because I love him.

Healing teaches you many things.

One of the most beautiful lessons I am learning is this:

The healthiest love does not feel heavy.

It feels easy.
It feels reciprocal.
It feels natural.

Sometimes the deepest love is found in the smallest acts of care.

And today reminded me just how beautiful simple love can be.

16 June 2026: Release & Reflect

Sometimes healing does not come through fixing anything.
Sometimes healing comes when someone simply sits beside you & allows you to feel everything you need to feel.

No judgment.
No rushing.
No telling you to stop crying.
No trying to force you to “move on.”

Just love.

Today reminded me that one of the greatest gifts we can give another human being is our presence.

To truly see them.
To hold space for their tears.
To remind them that their story matters.

I spent years believing that the hard things I survived somehow made me smaller.

Today I was reminded of something different.

Everything I have lived through has given me something important to say.

My story matters.
My voice matters.

And somewhere out there…

Someone may need to hear the very story I once wished I could hide.

Never underestimate the power of your story.

Sometimes your survival becomes someone else’s roadmap forward.

And maybe healing isn’t about forgetting where you have been.

Maybe healing is learning that your voice was meant to carry others through their own storms too.

15 June 2026: Work Day

Sometimes the biggest lesson in growth isn’t learning how to do more.
Sometimes the lesson is learning when not to force yourself to do more.

Today was supposed to be a work day.

The plans were there.
The projects were waiting.
The intention was clear.

But what I quickly realized was that yesterday had taken more mental energy than I originally thought.

And instead of forcing myself to push through…

I listened.
I rested.
I allowed myself to stop.

For so many years I believed productivity was proof of worth.

That if I wasn’t constantly doing something, then somehow I was falling behind.

What I’m learning now is something very different.

Sometimes rest is the work.
Sometimes listening to your body is the productive choice.
Sometimes permission to pause is exactly what allows you to move forward stronger tomorrow.

Today reminded me that healing also looks like trusting yourself enough to know when enough is enough.

And honoring that without guilt.

14 June 2026: Healing Day Today

Healing isn’t always quiet.

Sometimes healing sounds like two voices in your head having completely opposite conversations.

One says:
“You’re too broken.”

The other says:
“You are worthy of love exactly as you are.”

Today I felt both.

The old trauma trying to convince me that my broken heart wasn’t enough.
That someone as good as the love I’m receiving deserves more.

A “whole” heart.

But healing reminded me of something important:

A heart that has been broken, survived, & learned how to love again is not less whole.

It’s more whole.
Because it carries wisdom.
It carries grace.
It carries compassion.
It carries strength.

And today I was reminded that real love doesn’t require perfection.

It simply asks for honesty.
For presence.
For willingness.
For trust.

Healing isn’t about becoming someone else.

It’s about allowing yourself to be loved while becoming more of who you’ve always been.

And for that…

I am deeply thankful.

13 June 2026: Relaxation Day

One thing life has been teaching me lately is that rest & recovery are two very different things.

Rest is sleep.

Recovery is intentionally giving your mind, body, & nervous system space to reset after you've been pushing hard.

Yesterday was a full, productive, mentally demanding kind of day.

So today?

Today was about slowing down.

A little work.
A lunch date.
Some errands.
Family game night.

And plenty of quiet moments in between.

For years I believed I needed to keep pushing no matter what.

What I’m learning now is that sometimes the most productive thing you can do after a hard day is: "intentionally recover".

Not because you’re weak.

Because your body deserves time to reset.
Your nervous system deserves care.
Your mind deserves quiet.

Sometimes growth isn’t found in doing more.
Sometimes growth is knowing when to do less.

And today…

Less was exactly what I needed.

12 June 2026: Productive Day

Today reminded me that growth doesn’t always show up in the big moments.

Sometimes growth shows up in the choices we make when frustration creeps in.

Today was full of productivity, business building, creativity, & progress.

But by the end of the day, I hit a wall.

A project wasn’t flowing the way I wanted it to.

Frustration started building.

And in that moment, I had a choice.

I could fall back into old habits.

Or…

I could choose differently.

So instead of reaching for the sweets, feeding the frustration, or beating myself up…

I stepped away.
I grabbed my coloring app.
I slowed my mind down.
I gave myself permission to stop forcing the outcome.

And honestly?

That may have been the biggest win of the entire day.

Growth isn’t always about what we accomplish.

Sometimes growth is simply choosing healthier responses when old patterns try to show up.

Small choices matter.

And today, I’m proud of mine.

11 June 2026: Fun Day

Today reminded me that not every good day has to be a big day.

Sometimes the best days are simply filled with the things you love.

Breakfast with a friend.
Lunch with the man you love.
Working on future projects together.
Creativity flowing.
Following hunches & ideas.
Taking time to enjoy the life you've worked so hard to build.

For so many years I believed happiness would arrive when everything was finished.

When the bills were paid.
When the goals were reached.
When life finally settled down.

What I'm learning is that joy doesn't wait for perfect conditions.

Joy lives in the moments.

The conversations.
The laughter.
The partnership.
The creativity.
The connection.

Today wasn't extraordinary because of what happened.

It was extraordinary because I was fully present for it.

And for that, I am incredibly thankful.

10 June 2026: Creativity

Today reminded me that sometimes success isn't about working harder.

Sometimes it's about thinking differently.

I was working on uploading some projects & ran into conflicting feedback from the system.

One part said everything was fine.
Another part said it wasn't.

So instead of getting frustrated or giving up, I did something different.

I got creative.
I looked for another path.
Another solution.
Another possibility.

And that's when it hit me:

Success often lives just outside the box we've been told to stay inside.

The people who accomplish amazing things aren't the ones who never encounter obstacles.

They're the ones willing to adapt when obstacles appear.

Sometimes failure is simply feedback.
Sometimes frustration is simply redirection.

And sometimes the answer is waiting just beyond the edge of what you've always done.

Keep following the hunches.
Keep following the nudges.
Keep following the ideas that won't leave you alone.

They may be leading you somewhere incredible.

9 June 2026: Adulting One Last Time This Month

Today wasn't glamorous.

No big adventures.
No major breakthroughs.
No dramatic stories.

Just adulting.
Bills paid.
Debt reduced.
Groceries purchased.
Projects completed.
Plans put into motion.

And honestly?

Those are some of my favorite days.

Because every debt paid off, every healthy choice made, & every small step forward creates momentum.

I've learned that balance doesn't happen by accident.

It happens one choice at a time.

One payment at a time.
One healthy meal at a time.
One project at a time.
One day at a time.

The beautiful thing is that eventually those small choices start adding up.

And one day you look around & realize:

The life you're living today is the life you were building all along.

I'm thankful for progress.
I'm thankful for discipline.

And I'm thankful for seeing the pieces come together.

8 June 2026: Ah...Self-Care Anyone

Today was one of those days that reminded me why self-care matters.

Not because something was wrong.

Because something was right.

A full-body massage.
Good food.
Meaningful conversations.
A little adulting.
Time with people I love.

Years ago I used to think self-care was something you did after you burned yourself out.

Now I see it differently.

Self-care isn't a reward.

It's maintenance.
It's how we take care of the body that carries us through life.
It's how we slow down long enough to listen.
It's how we continue showing up as our best selves.

One of the best decisions I made six years ago was making massage therapy part of my self-care routine.

And every time I leave, I wonder why I waited so long between appointments.

The older I get, the more I realize:

Taking care of yourself isn't selfish.

It's necessary.

So today I'm thankful.

Thankful for healing.
Thankful for growth.
Thankful for love.
Thankful for the reminder that I matter too.
