At the end of the school year I like to give my kids teachers a gift card as a thank you but I like to personalize it differently every year. This year I had my kids paint pots and put a plant in it since we had a bunch of pothos clippings. We suck at keeping house plants alive in our house for lots of reasons but these are resilient plants! I also had my kids color a card and write a message to their teacher. The kids loved doing it and the teachers seemed to love it too! It’s was a fun and simple project that we will probably do again!

Our 2026 veggies garden has been planted! The question is what will survive because we bought the plants over a week ago and they were struggling in their tiny pots, the wind and dryness did not help either! We are prepared to have to buy replacement plants but I’m hopeful most of the plants will pull though. The spinach and zucchini look the worst.
Two garden “hacks” I love and swear by now: soaking plants before putting them in the ground and putting an egg with pepper plants (I didn’t do it last year out of laziness and we got way less peppers so I credit the egg).

Yarn is my happy place. I end pretty much every single day with some crocheting and I look forward to it all day! I’m especially proud of this sweater cuz I made it with no pattern and I have wanted to make myself a sweater for years!

One more moment for this cardigan that was over a year in the making and took multiple attempts!

My son’s birthday is coming up so of course I had to make him a few handmade gifts. Here is two of them. He had a “gaming closest” (his collection of toys and whatnot that are gaming related) so I made him a sign to hang in it. And he wanted a yoshi egg but they are so pricy so I got this clear egg for $2.50 (after Easter sale for the win!!!) at and painted it to look like a yoshi egg! I did buy a little stuff yoshi to go inside the egg.

3rd time is the charm!! I started this cardigan back In January 2025. I thought it was complete in November 2025 but it was too tight and too long….. I once again thought it was complete in February 2026 but it felt like a bath robe, it wasn’t the vibe I waned. So once again I took it apart and finally in April 2026, over a year after I started it, I can finally say it’s truly complete. Creating art isn’t always a straight and easy path! So this is my reminder to you to not give up!

Another granny square project complete!!!! I was inspired by using the all-in-one granny square yarn so I got a few skeins from my local
In typical me fashion, I didn’t use a pattern. It took 3 skeins (I think I have 2 squares leftover). This colorway did technically end in black but I wanted it to be brighter so I cut the last round out and added my own white. I love how it turned out but of course now the weather is warmer so guess it will have to wait til fall to wear it!
Also don’t make fun of the transition in this video, I’m still learning and the wind wasn’t being my friend!

It’s DONE DONE DONE!!!!! After over a year of working in this cardigan and thinking it was finished 3 different times! It truly is done! Thank goodness!! My husband thought I was crazy for how many times I torn this thing apart but I wanted a cardigan I actually loved and would actually wear. It’s more depressing seeing all my hard work just sitting in the closest!

In 2025 I decided instead of doing new year resolution I would do a BINGO sheet that way I didn’t feel as bad if I didn’t complete all my goals! It was fun! I ended up getting Bingo in the final days of the year with completing a quilt for my husband! I also crocheted a blanket in the last month of the year, a small Christmas themed blanket for my kids. And I completed a cardigan!!!! Wooooo I call that a successful 2025, I mean it was pretty sad that Joann’s closed but we can’t dwell on that 😭😭😭😭
Since it was a fun and very little pressure, I decided to do another 2026 bingo card!
