🚪 Somewhere in downtown Niles there's a coffin-shaped door inside an oddities shop, and walking through it takes you into a funeral and death museum most of Michigan doesn't know exists.

That's Borrowed Time Oddities & The Mourning Museum, and here's what's on the other side:

✓ The shop side: responsibly sourced taxidermy, antique curiosities, metaphysical tools, and handcrafted pieces you won't find anywhere else
✓ The museum side: Victorian mourning artifacts, post-mortem photography, real human skulls, embalming instruments, and a 1920s glass coffin salesman's sample
✓ Standout piece: Bartholomew, a Victorian-era fetal skeleton, alongside a hair wreath woven from the dead
✓ Your admission ticket is a toe tag (yours to keep); $2 from every ticket goes to mental health and su***de prevention

Macabre, yes. Remarkable, absolutely.
