Thank you for helping me realize my dream one day at a time.

Earlier this year, I asked my 11-year-old son, if he could have any job in the world, what would he pick? Like a lot of boys his age, he said he wanted to play video games and stream them online.

But then he turned and asked me a question I wasn’t ready for. He hit me with the Uno reverse and asked what MY dream job was and why I had never tried to pursue it.

Truthfully, I didn’t even know how to answer. Since becoming a father, I’ve always put others before myself. Being a loving, supportive, and present dad has always been the one thing I’ve wanted to succeed at most. Somewhere along the way, I stopped dreaming because I convinced myself those dreams weren’t possible.

My son not only sparked the idea for what is now TheFoodieFables, but he reminded me that it’s never too late to try.
