Hey my estate, garage, flea market friends…I would love to know if you run across glass, old wood windows, MARBLES (why the heck are marbles so expensive!)…please let me know (preferably a call or text).

It happens! A family friend recently let me know of an incredible stained glass steal at an estate sale. I was outbid…but then a week later glass karma came back my way at another estate sale blocks from me (thanks, Bruce, for letting me know!). Look at that red!

And the best part…you meet cool people, run into friends, and break into your happy dance. I’ve been finding myself doing more of my happy dance. 😁💜

My apprentice, my momma. Vick (her step children call her this, which I love) has been my forever supporter. Always willing to get up to shenanigans with me, help with projects, get me out of my funks, and laugh at all of my jokes and sarcasm. When I decided to start Purple Pup, she didn’t hesitate — she wanted to help and learn stained glass right alongside me.

I am incredibly fortunate to call her mom and have her by my side.

Check out all of her glass work! The hearts are pieces where she integrated my grandma’s jewelry as commemorative gifts to family. Way to go, momma!

Sometimes it’s not about the color — it’s about the light. ✨

This custom piece was a commission from my buddy Bruce over at BLV Glass, and I have to say, working with bevels and clear textured glass pushed me in a direction I don’t usually go. I’m typically all about bold color, but there’s something so elegant about letting the light do all the work — the way those bevels catch and scatter it is mesmerizing.

Loved making this one.

Another commemorative piece. While I am not the best at these (doggies are hard to capture in glass), I love doing them. We love our pet children - and my kiddo wanted me to make this for his friend who recently lost this girl. I love people loving on people in their lives. It’s what life is all about.
