Final day of the AQS Grand Rapids show has come to an end.

As I travel home today and reflect on all the experiences of this past week, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude and so many emotions.

I’m incredibly grateful that there are still quilt shows that bring teachers, vendors, and makers together. I’m grateful for the companies that continue to support these events by sponsoring shows and sending equipment and products so students can have meaningful, hands-on experiences with the tools and techniques they’re learning.

Most of all, I’m so proud of my students and the hard work they put in throughout the week. Watching their skills grow, seeing their confidence build, and witnessing those moments when a design finally “clicks” for them is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

I’m leaving this show with a full heart, a grateful spirit, and so many wonderful memories. Thank you to everyone who made this week possible—my students, fellow teachers, vendors, sponsors, and everyone who stopped by to share in the joy of quilting.

What a privilege it is to teach, to learn, and to be part of this incredible quilting community. ❤️🧵

Students learned about Diamond designs and Row designs during the classes on Day 3 of AQS Grand Rapids QuiltWeek.

These designs were challenging but everyone did such a great job.

For several of these ladies, this was their 4 class with me this week and they are coming back for more tomorrow. 😃 I love their determination and dedication to learning new designs.

Fabulous first day at the AQS Grand Rapids show!

Even got to see Tilly again while taking a break in between my classes.

I will be doing a demo on her at the APQS booth, Thursday at noon. Stop by and learn how to quilt grid designs using stencils.
And while you are there you can test drive Tilly and all the APQS family members.

✈️ Grand Rapids, here I come!

My bags are packed, class kits are shipped, and tomorrow I’m flying out for AQS QuiltWeek in Grand Rapids! I can’t wait for a week of quilting, teaching, shopping, and inspiration.

There’s still time for YOU to join me! I’ll be teaching 6 hands-on longarm quilting classes, and there are still a few seats available.

We’ll be stitching modern free-motion designs, wreaths, diamonds, background fillers, ruler-work crosshatching, feathered borders, and more!

Each class includes a custom-printed panel designed specifically for the class, so we can spend less time marking and more time quilting!
