Some pieces are just too beautiful to disappear.

This hand-carved Eastlake footboard from the late 1800s has been given a second life as a hook rack, keeping all of its original character while becoming useful again. Hang coats, towels, hats, bags, artwork... whatever makes sense in your home.

I love finding ways to let these incredible old pieces keep telling their story instead of ending up forgotten. DM me for more information.

This little guy lives in a jar on a shelf amongst a set of vintage wooden spoons. But he is special!

A watchmaker's brass hammer from the 1930s. Made by C&E Marshall Company of Chicago. Tiny and beautifully made and proof that even the smallest jobs deserved quality tools.

Where did the scratches come from? Was this used by a craftsman? A hobbyist? What projects took up the hours to wear the handle smooth? Even with the mystery I love the history.

The first pieces from the 1890s Packard organ are ready for their next chapter.

The original key sets have been carefully refreshed, and the brass reeds—the very pieces that air passed over to create music more than a century ago—have been framed as art. I love preserving the story while giving these beautiful details a new life.

When I found this last week, it took me a minute ... but then the slots in the side and the open ends made perfect sense. A vintage brass match box cover ✨.

Did someone else use it to keep the matches out and pretty for their morning candle? Was it tableside at baby's first birthday or a grandfather's 80th?

One of my favorite things about vintage is how even the most practical items were made with beauty in mind.

✨ Vintage Story Friday ✨

A quick outing with a friend turned up three darling antique finds. I love finding these diamonds in the rough.

An English cream pot, a Guernsey match striker and a Sanford ink jar. When holding things that were made over a century ago, I feel so lucky to be able to treasure them, preserve them and pass them on.

Are you a tiny treasure seeker like me?

✨ **Vintage Story Friday** ✨

A 1930s Burleigh Ware English Old Willow teapot.

How many cups of tea did it pour? How many conversations did it host? What news did it hear over the last 90 years?

This beautiful piece carries the signs of a life where it was both used and cherished. The gilded edges and hand applied transferware pattern reflect the fascination with Eastern-inspired design that still brings joy nearly a century later.

Coming soon to A Vintage Story, ready for its next chapter.

Next in the Organ Series ✨

This petite wall shelf began its life as the original music rest from an 1899 Story & Clark pump organ, crafted in Chicago over 125 years ago.

Carefully repurposed to preserve its character and history, it now offers a beautiful spot to display a favorite treasure, small artwork, or a treasured keepsake. A small piece with a big story.
