Tulips in full bloom! They are so pretty to look at. Vibrant orange, apricot, purple and pink. I did plan to have them at the flower stand, for Easter and mother's Day, when I planted them last fall but they didn't grow as tall as I'd hoped for displaying in a vase, so I'll leave them as permanent eye candy for my garden. They are sooo lovely πŸ₯°

Thank you to everyone who bought a bouquet last week! My friends 7 yo. daughter and I had so much fun making 29 mini bouquets for the residents at Amherst Meadows β€οΈπŸŒΈπŸŒΌπŸ΅οΈπŸ’ they LOVED it! Some people picked their own flowers to be made into a bouquet, some asked that bouquets be made for them and a few were unable to speak but they still smiled when receiving their flowers. I love doing this so much and I can't wait to do it again next month!

Shout out to my friends daughter who worked so hard making pretty bouquets with me. Her idea was to make one big surprise bouquet at the end and gift it to a worker. One nurse received the final BIG bouquet as a thanks for all she does to help others ❀️❀️❀️

This was possible because of everyone who has supported my flower business so far ❀️ For every bouquet sold, one is donated. I don't know if I'll be able to keep it up forever, but for now it's a very nice way to make sure that no flowers go to waste and the love is spread around to as many as possible.

Inspired by the Japanese art of flower arranging Ikebana, these are pinned into a foam ball. The result is beautiful however this arrangement won't have a long vase life. It may only last a day or two. Great for a centerpiece for an event!

When I opened the stand on Thursday Jimmy decided he wanted to have a lemonade stand and sit out there with me (I never planned to sit out there, it's meant to be self-service). So that's what we'll do today. I love it! Then I realized this is just my adult lemonade πŸ‹ stand, and I'm just having fun!

I don't know everything about growing flowers, floristry, marketing or running a business. I'm not qualified to do any of it. Many people may not love my flowers or appreciate my taste. Still something is calling me to do this and I know I'll learn what I need to know along the way πŸ΅οΈπŸŒΌπŸŒΈπŸ’

I've already enjoyed connecting with awesome new people and hearing how meaningful flowers are to them. This is what it's all for!

Hey friends and followers,

I wanted to let everyone know that yesterday was a good test run for me to see what I can do with this flower stand this year. It was a very hot day, yet I did sell a few bouquets and I have a future order! I'm just getting started and I don't have much to offer yet. However, I do plan to open at least two more times this year. I'll need to supplement this year with some wholesale flowers, but by next year I hope to have much more to offer, that is grown right here on our land.

Right now the two days that I plan to be open are tomorrow evening (June 28th), weather permitting and July 19th. For every bouquet I sell, I will donate one to a nursing home resident! I want to have a mission behind my flowers and my heart has always been with the elderly and disabled. I'd love to one day have flower workshops that I can bring into nursing homes.

I want to bring a little purpose and positivity in an engaging and enriching way to some of the dearest people in our community ❀️

lll be very honest here, I learned a lot on Thursday! For one it was too hot to sell flowers during a heat wave. I only had them out a short time before having to bring them in. Also, daylilies only last a day, but they have plenty of buds to keep blooming for days, which makes them a great flower for a vase that will last 5 or more days.

I wasn't sure exactly where I wanted to end up with this little farm stand or how I would sell flowers when I really don't have many flowers yet. Now....I have a plan in mind for how to grow this farm stand into something that can be open every week when flowers are blooming.

Everything I sell this year will help support the BIGGER vision next year. I have exciting news to share next week regarding that, so stay tuned!

Business isn't booming yet, and I'm not ready for it to be, but it's there! I'm excited, thank you for bearing with me and being patient while I work in the background to make this everything it can be! Thank you for engaging with this page and supporting this business with all your love and excitement πŸ’πŸŒΌπŸ΅οΈπŸŒΈπŸ΅οΈ

I want to say a few thank yous to a few specific people:

Thank you Tiff Smith for trading my eggs for several flats of beautiful flowers ready to planted that will soon be made into beautiful flower bouquets πŸ’

Thank you Deb Malone for seeing the vision, being my first REAL customer and for being just as excited about flowers as I am πŸͺ»

Thank you to my wonderful sister-in-laws Camryn Still and Jennifer Marie Glancy. Cam painted my beautiful road sign 😍 and Jennifer curated the perfect logo, she went above and beyond making different versions of the logos that can be used on stationary stickers and even clothing! She also edited some beautiful photos I can use for marketing! I'm so lucky to have these two ladies support.

Finally, thanks to Mom for buying my first 2 bouquets to deliver to grandma and grandmas friend in the nursing home, and my dad for letting me talk endlessly about flowers and business strategies. My two closests friend Angela and Tracy for giving me the courage to try.

Last but not least, my husband, Jim Goin, the back bone of all of this, and the true green thumb. Who going to be making this dream a reality 🏡️🌸🌼
