💐On Beauty, Richmond STYLE 🪞

Friday’s Fancy afternoon with Charlotte Moss Charlotte Moss and Flower Magazine Margot Shaw at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture was a reminder of why I love this city’s design scene.

The talk was wonderful. What stayed with me was who was in the room.

Richmond’s design community isn’t one look or one path. We’re residential and commercial designers. We’re stagers, florists, makers, and second-career creatives (hi 👋🏾). Some of us bring decades in the trade, and some bring fresh eyes from other industries. And we show up for each other.

That’s the heart of RVA Design Group. Networking here isn’t a business-card swap. It’s real connection with people who see beauty differently than you do, and that makes everyone’s work better.

🌻We grow differently when we grow together.

Our time at XOJ | Studio Sprezzatura with RVA Design Group | Richmond Interior Design Collective was a beautiful reminder that community is built through connection, collaboration, and showing up for one another.

At J. Lynn Interior Designs, creating intentional spaces and meaningful experiences that bring people together is part of my brand. Because design goes beyond beautiful interiors — it’s about how people connect, feel, and flourish.

Here’s to building relationships, creating opportunities, and strengthening our community together.

Beautiful spaces. Meaningful connections. Stronger communities.

🏦 In finance, you learn quickly that the best investments aren’t always the flashy ones. They’re the ones that compound.

That’s why I’m heading to Atlanta for The Case Conference by The Case Collective : three days of business strategy, practitioner-led education, and intentional community with designers who are moving from doing the work to leading it.

For my clients, this means more refined systems, a more seamless 8-phase process, and a studio built to deliver premium results for years to come.

This isn’t an expense. It’s equity in the future of J. Lynn Interior Designs. ✨

✨ This is what community looks like.

Showing up for Currant House | Interior Design at the East Coast Expo for Antiques — because supporting one another is what makes this industry special. 👋🏽👏🏽

While we were there, Alonso connected with a fellow RVA Design Group | Richmond Interior Design Collective managing member Kisha to network, swap ideas, and talk all things interior design. These are the moments that remind us design isn’t a solo pursuit — it’s built on relationships, shared inspiration, and lifting each other up.

💬 So tell us: why does community matter to *you*? Drop a comment below — we’d love to hear how connection has shaped your journey.

WOW 😮 🥹

Nominated. Twice 👏🏽👏🏽

When I founded J. Lynn Interior Designs in December 2019, I was betting on a vision and betting on myself. Coming from two decades in finance and insurance into design, I had to build every bit of this from the ground up: the brand, the network, the relationships, the reputation.

So to be a **2026 CASE Awards nominee for Showhouse Design of the Year & The Collective Award — I don’t take that lightly. 🤍

This marks my *3rd year* with The CASE Conference, and here’s what I’ve learned: the networking is real, the commitment is real, and the community is *everything*. I came looking to grow a business. I found people pouring right back into me. For that, I am deeply thankful.

If you’ve watched me build something bold, here’s how you can show up today:

🗳️ VOTE — voting ends TODAY-9/19/26.** Share a vote for the designers who inspire you (I’d be honored if one of them is me 🤍)
✨ **Join us** — Come be part of The CASE Collective Conference and see what this community is really about.
👀 **Follow along for the next couple of weeks are going to be special. Stay close.

To every client, collaborator, and friend who’s been part of this journey, thank you. This one’s for the women building bold. 🪄
