To the Forget Me Not Fables Community,
Thank you for being a part of our growth over the last incredible year. We started out as a little pop-up shop selling blind dates with a book and blossomed into something so much bigger. I had high hopes for our little shop on Smith, but life has other plans. Due to mom’s most recent health-related results and my own pregnancy, I’ve decided to close Forget Me Not Fables Bookshop.
While this may come as a shock since we only opened our doors a few months ago, I know this is the right decision for my family and myself. Nothing is more important than spending time with the people you love. Life is far too short and I’ve come to realize this fact faster than I had expected to.
Nonetheless, we will be open one more week to ensure those participating in the bookstore passport program get to collect their stamps. As of right now, we intend to operate according to our regular hours, but that may change depending on mom’s appointment tomorrow. We will keep everyone posted.
Also, please stay tuned for updates on Indie Bookstore Day. It’ll likely be our last day of operation so you can bet we’ll be going out with a bookish bang 📖✨
PS: To anyone with gift cards or coupons, do not worry! While we may not have our physical shop, we intend to do pop-up events again starting in May, where you can still use what you have. Any authors/makers who have their items at our shop may schedule a pickup before May 1st. I will be reaching out to you shortly.
