For quilters: My sister recommends sewing a large 1" seam for joining back pieces for the longarm.
Many quilters piece their backing with a ½" or less seam pressed to one side… but that can cause problems on the longarm. Here's the post. What do you all do?

I recently had the opportunity to give my new talk Threads of Inspiration - at Cotton Patch Quilt Guild - Greenville, TX. We had a wonderful Portraits workshop afterwards. Everyone made awesome progress. I asked for them to post pictures on here. Hopefully we can see progress and see each other's work. It is a new thing similar - applique, but different, and these gals were amazing! Post your portraits here please!

This was last summer- me and my Granddaughter- who is a very good professional photographer. Her horse Seven st a rodeo event in Weatherford. My beautiful Grandie-girl and her horse! ! :-)

I had a class for Creative Quilters of Ellis County for the Dresden Neighborhood. I met many wonderful new quilter friends! I am hoping that we can get some of them to post pictures of their projects so that we can see what was created and see what the quilters thought about the class! I was recently in Celeste Tx for a program and workshop for the Tri-County Quilt Guild. They do have a Quilt show this coming weekend! https://tricountyquiltguild.org/2026-quilt-show-dates-and-hours/. There will be many awesome quilts and lots of cool things to purchase in the Boutique! I saw some really cool denim jackets that they had added bling and designer fabric accents! Very cool jackets!

For the workshop, we did the Stained Glass Art Quilts. Hopefully some of the finished ones will be posted here on this page for you to see! They were so wonderful! Roses in many colors and a tulip and my new Daylily pattern!

What a great group of quilters!
