My first pocket vase, YAY!! It holds water and a sweet little bouquet 💐

I used Crayola chalk for the vase part and it made the perfect cylindrical vase and (bonus points!) it left the word Crayola imprinted on the blue backside of the vase - see the 3rd photo! The 4th photo shows my setup, with the clear glass balanced so precariously on the chalk. The glass shrunk so perfectly around the chalk that it looks like butterfly wings! Pretty happy with this first attempt. 🥰

Bullseye makes this magical streaky sheet glass called Petrified Wood where the clear sections are actually red reactive glass. For this piece I fired a circle of Petrified Wood on top of Robin’s Egg Blue, a copper-bearing opalescent. When the two touch and heat together, they produce the most sumptuous, one-of-a-kind hues. No piece is ever the same. 🔥 I bought a full sheet of the glass … let’s do this!
