WE GOT A PUGMILL!! 🥳 After starting up more clay programming, the studio was absolutely drowning in clay that needed to be recycled.

And now, we can actually make a dent in that pile of mud with this cool new toy. It will mix and compress our recycled clay so that the days of taking hours to dry clay out on slabs and wedging it back together are over 🙅🏼‍♀️ More clay being recycled means more clay for our class participants to use! It’s always wild how much of a difference a trip through the kiln makes!

Before you start painting, you might think our staff poured you the wrong colors. A lot of our pinks, purples, and even blues look very light and muted as paint and even once they dry.

But don’t worry, all of the Earthenware paints will brighten up and intensify when they go through the kiln ☀️

Did you know stoneware pieces can look drastically different after being fired?

They may look a little crazy as you paint them, but trust the process and you will end up with the most gorgeous, flowing colors. This peacock bowl is a great example of a how different the before and after can be with this type of pottery!

And don’t forget to ask our staff about the stoneware pieces to help you get this tie-dye style look :)
