If you’re new around here you might not know that I was a flower farmer for 7 years, including 4 years of having my own flower farm! The last season I farmed was 2023, and I was pregnant the whole dang season 🤰🏼😅

Why does this matter? Because I know intimately how special and painstaking and all-consuming it is to grow flowers and get them into the hands of people who will love them as much as the farmer does. I understand the complexity of seasonal timing and rolling with the flow of what is or isn’t blooming this week. I believe with my whole being that locally grown flowers are superior in just about every way to anything shipped in plastic from across an ocean.

This deep knowing of and commitment to local flowers means that I always start by ordering from my favorite farmers first before the imported flower wholesaler, and I always leave room for the magic of what new gorgeous goodies might show up at market that week ✨

I wasn’t planning on fluffy spirea for Sierra + Luke’s late May wedding last year because spirea season feels about two seconds long. BUT it was kismet because the spirea was in its prime that week, so I used it everywhere 🤩

Feeling a connection with your wedding vendors is important! Here are some signs I might be the perfect florist for you:

🌷 your wedding centers the people who will support your marriage, not just who your MIL wants to invite
🌷 your color palette can be bright & bold or subtly neutral, but you’ve chosen each shade for a reason
🌷 you want to hire vendors you trust, and then let them do their thing
🌷 you value wedding flowers for the beauty and energy they bring to the day, and don’t just need a florist because “every wedding has flowers”

Your venue is 100% part of the floral design!!! What do I mean? Let me explain:

This venue is stunning. And, it has verrry tall ceilings, ones your guests notice when they’re up on the mezzanine for cocktail hour. Instead of leaving the space above where the ceremony and dinner happen empty, this couple brought in colorful lighting to add another focal point to the tall space.

Not only did the lighting installation add some serious fun, I also carried the bright florals from the chuppah and dinner tables throughout the room, instead of leaving them on the ground level!

It was a dream to be able to consult with the planner, Josey, on this to make sure the lantern colors perfectly matched the floral palette. This whole design, flowers + candles + lanterns, came together perfectly 🤌

Ways I lock in when I’m making your bouquet:

🔒 I pick out the blooms before designing any other pieces, we want the best of the best for this babe!
🔒 I make sure the vibe is right—I usually make your bouquet first thing in the morning or right after lunch, when I’m fresh, and I almost always turn on Harry Styles (Harry’s House specifically, iykyk)
🔒 I triple check my handwritten notes about specific size or design elements you mentioned during our phone call to make sure your bouquet is everything you have been dreaming about!

With those three things taken care of, I go to work. I often don’t have a plan of which flowers will go where, but I let each stem guide my hand and usually it flows. A little woo woo, but the energy flowers have cannot be ignored!
