As you most likely know, we’re big dog lovers here at Lunada Bay Tile, and we love seeing spaces designed with the comfort of our four-legged family members in mind. We are kicking off with a backsplash installation of glass tile from our Origami Mosaic collection. The facets of the Nami pattern play with light beautifully, making the space glimmer. When creating the Origami Mosaic series, we took inspiration from the ancient Japanese art of paper folding. Delicate angles and subtle geometry emulate the techniques and visuals seen in the iconic art form and recreate them in three-dimensional glass mosaics. Our hand-made process incorporates creases, wrinkles, waves, bubbles and other surface effects indicative of hand-made glass, all designed to capture light and enhance the final beauty of the project.

As you know, yesterday we launched our new Mistral Zellige tile collection. We’ve been thrilled to hear your reactions and excitement for this new series! Here is a closer look at one of our new Mistral patterns: Kilim — seen here in the lush Oasis colorway.

Colors bring a feeling of nature to a space, engaging the senses, and connecting us to the space around us. The triangle motif pattern seen here is representative of the amulet of protection designs seen in Kilim rugs, and is also influenced by Art Deco style, creating a personal and inspired feeling of sanctuary and home.
