Celebrating Women in Construction Week! 🔨

This week we’re proud to recognize some of the hardworking, talented women right here in our very own community! Construction isn’t just a man’s world anymore — women are leading projects, running businesses, and bringing skill, creativity, and dedication to every job site.

We’re especially excited to highlight some amazing local businesses that have strong roots in the Norwich community for more than half a century each and the women that are helping to lead the way! Sarah Scepanski-Callender and Courtney Smith are integral parts of making their family-owned businesses a success! Not to mention, they are pretty great friends too!

We at The Floor Covering Shop are excited to be celebrating our 63rd year in business in 2026. Our friends at Scepanski Roofing and Rogers Kitchens have also been Norwich institutions for 55 and 71 years respectively.

All of these companies have proven through longevity and maintaining family-owned values that they are names you can trust! And when skilled professionals come together, great things happen!
