I’ve been a little sad over the past few weeks. This is our first holiday season in our new home and I’m trying to make it as magical as I can for my girls. It’s bitter sweeet, I know we made the right move but apart of me misses our old home and the holiday parties we hosted but that’s not stopping me from creating that here in our new house. 🕯️🍂💛

I know I know I’m the worst how could I but I don’t think wood is sacred and can’t be touched. In certain situations I actually think paint helps BIG TIME! And in this Instance it definitely does. What do you think would paint over wood if it wasn’t helping a room?

It’s amazing how much of a difference a little window layering can make! 🤎 Our living room is slowly coming together, and these relaxed Roman shades from SelectBlinds Official USA added just the softness and warmth this space was missing.

We went with Moonlight Ivory, and I absolutely love the relaxed folds! They’re cordless, no-drill, and were SO easy to install. Sometimes it’s the simplest changes that make a room feel that much cozier. 🕯️✨

I’m not afraid to mix prints and patterns, but I’ll admit, I still find myself second-guessing things sometimes, asking, “Will this work?” And more often than not, that’s how I know I’m onto something! 🤎

Every room is thoughtfully planned, with a little formula in mind, but always with one important question: “Will it work for our family?”

Creating a home takes time, and it’s impossible to pull every room together overnight. The key is to be patient, enjoy the process, and not fall into the trap of comparing your home to what you see on social media.

We moved into our new home in April, and the rooms I’m sharing here are the only ones we’ve completed so far. Slowly, thoughtfully, and always on a budget, we’re creating a home that feels like us. 🏡✨

A reminder that a home doesn’t need to be finished all at once to be beautiful. 🤍
