Are you planning a kitchen remodel? Often overlooked is the Microwave.

This is the clear space needed for the MICROWAVE OVEN plan.

✔️Consider the user's height and abilities when planning the location of a microwave oven.

✔️Microwaves above countertop height -
The bottom of the microwave oven is placed 3” inches below the principle user's shoulder, but, no more than 54” inches above the finished floor.

✔️Microwave below a countertop ⭐️Design preference - Microwave oven (drawer style) placed just below the countertop is ideal. The oven bottom must be a minimum of 15” inches above finished floor.

✔️Microwave Oven Landing Areas - Provide a minimum of 15”inches counter space for the landing area of a microwave oven, whether above, below, or adjacent to the handle side of a microwave oven.

✔️Landing area across an aisle - Include at least 15” inch landing area that is not more than 48” inches across an aisle from the micro oven. Appliance should not open into a main walkway.

Sharing a recent project from Hinsdale! The realtor estimated it would take 4+ months to sell this home, but after some updates and home staging, it was under contract in less than two weeks!

Updates included: New paint colors throughout, moving furniture inside and out to better the traffic flow, providing suggestions for a few new purchases, selecting new tile, marble & textures for the master bath, and updated with new lighting in several rooms throughout the home.
