Check out a project we recently completed for an apartment complex in Woodridge! Twin Supplies, as a service provider for many utility programs, was selected to complete this project through a ratepayer funded multi-family rebate program.

The customer wanted to retrofit their existing shepherd's crook style streetlight fixtures to LED. The LED solution chosen to replace the existing metal halide bulbs in the fixtures was a high efficiency omni-directional lamp specifically designed for such applications, which ensured sufficient roadway illumination. 77 fixtures in total were retrofitted, and the project was completed in one day.

By replacing their existing old technology bulbs with LED, the customer went from using over 70,000 kW a year to under 20,000! The return on investment was instant - this project was covered in full by the rebates available through the utility! In addition, the customer virtually eliminated all maintenance costs associated with the fixtures, as the new LED bulbs do not use ballasts and have a significantly longer expected useful life than their metal halide counterparts.

As part of our commitment to your health and safety, we are continuing to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and are taking extra precautions in order to ensure the healthiest possible environment for all. As you may have heard, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker issued an executive order on March 20th, asking all citizens of the state to shelter in place. In this order, the governor also made distinctions regarding essential businesses. Twin Supplies has our office in Oak Brook, IL and, within the guidelines set forward by the governor, is continuing operations so that we can support other essential businesses with the products and services they require to remain operational.

While we are currently maintaining a "no visitor" policy at our office, we continue to remain available at any time via e-mail, phone, or in person with limited contact, and are working remotely to ensure all projects and orders continue to move along as smoothly as possible.

We realize that every entity, whether in the public or private sector, is going through an unprecedented time right now, and I just wanted to remind you all that my team and I continue to be available for any of your lighting needs, no matter how big or small.
