So this happened... horse manure left in a dump trailer for the past two weeks. A pile of manure in hot weather can spontaneously combust due to spontaneous heating. Two neighbors came to our door to tell us something was on fire in our yard. Mikey had just been outside watering the horses and didn't see it or smell any smoke. It happened fast! Thank you neighbors! Be sure to keep your manure piles small and blended with dirt!
