So this is a thing. Paper flowers. I saw them at the Merchandise Mart today and immediately bought a roll of crepe paper. Very excited for my new hobby!

Quick, chilly trip to the Chicago Botanic Garden today. The tulip bed was a master class in color and variety. That’s a lot to coordinate to get that many tulips to bloom at once. The adorable couple having professional photos taken were followed by a real life proposal by couple number 2 minutes later in the exact same spot. I sure picked the right bench to sit on.

Carpeting used to be like buying a Ford, you can have any color you like as long as it’s black. With carpet, you can have any color you want as long as it’s beige. But change is in the air. People are ready for color and pattern. Look what I saw at Pierre Fey’s new showroom at the Merchandize Mart today.
