I’ve been negligent tending to my business page. I’m curious to see how many people I can reach here. Oooooh, I’m almost at 1,000 likes...and when I reach that magic number there is no stopping me! Lol. Thanks to the 996 people who have liked my page and to the four
more who will take me over the thousand mark. So exciting!!!

Almost 10,000 likes for my book and almost 1,000 likes for my design business page. I wonder which one will reach these landmark numbers first. Thanks for supporting both pages everyone!!! I'm very grateful for the support. More design ideas coming soon...

Oh boy, oh boy, I just won the award, "Best of Houzz" for 2016!
This is apparently a big deal as only about 3% of designers win this annual award.

I love this horizontal niche. Most niches are installed vertically. It makes so much more sense to design it like this...more real estate for the necessities. Lots of times, the other way, there's a lot of wasted space. Not here. Great idea!

Enjoy another easy design idea!

Two great ideas here: the first is the black door. Why not paint interior doors something other than white? Second, look what a big bunch of fresh flowers can do for a room! What a great softening device and addition of color. It takes away from the hard edges of this space!

Here we go! Post #1. I hope these posts give you great ideas! Once I get this going, I'll start posting about color on my House Colors book page. I love sharing ideas. I hope that whoever is out there and sees them, enjoys my take and advice on achieving great design. Please share your thoughts with me and if you like this, please "like" it so I know that I'm reaching you! I'll post at least one a week or more! Here we go....

What incredible impact here! When a blown up photograph is used on the focal point wall, behind the bed, look what incredible ambiance and drama is added to the room. The placement of the largest flower in relationship to the bed (the way that it's off of center), is key to finding the balance for the room. It's everything here! The cost to create it is well with it, in spades!
