How's everybody?!! Our page is still up and we wanted to share a rare opportunity to anyone of our friends and acquaintance's out there Heidi Schave who might want to show a family heirloom related to S.F. history. Here is what we received from one of our followers working with a Travel Channel: Exciting Opportunity for Antique Enthusiasts!! Antique themed Travel Channel show is looking for participants for an upcoming episode shooting in May in San Francisco. Looking for people in the area who have interesting items that they either found, inherited or came across that they'd like to know more about or have appraised by leading industry experts. Anything with a unique story or connection to the area would be great. Prior knowledge of the item is fine as long as you're willing and open to learning and having fun! Also, If the item is connected to a family history story, or to something uniquely San Francisco all the better!!... it doesn't necessarily just have to be something that has a high price tag.

My fave picture of LOOT when we were in Lafayette. Setting up an art-exhibit... Well peeps- we have officially closed our Oakland location. Ron has happily retired to Mexico and you can visit him there in his shop in the town of Puerta Vallarta! Thanks to all of those who have followed him all the years he has been in business. Starting with his shop in Piedmont, to Grand in Oakland, to College Ave., to Lafayette and back to Oakland again. Over 30 years!! Ron is an Artist, a florist, a designer, a collector, a boss and most of all a wonderful human-being. Lets all wish him luck on his new adventure. "Te echaremos mucho de menos ¡Que tengas mucha suerte!"

Where has the time gone?!! It's nearly May 1st! Happy Spring everyone. The rain has made everything so pretty. Here is a pretty vignette from Veranda Magazine. Modern accessories and one really good piece of Antique furniture is going to remain fresh for a long time we think. We love this combination, and we still have lots of tables to sell at 30% off. How you choose to use color in your home is most always a personal choice. Color can be really feminine or it can be used so that what you select to showcase against a painted wall for instance, suddenly takes on a masculine edge. Neither choice being a right or wrong way to go about decorating. These two rooms belong to designer Kate Schelter. Can you see how the simplest addition to a room or hallway (a piece of vibrant art work in the dining area and a personal collection of straw hats in the hall) suddenly changes up an area?
