“Design for longevity, not just for the moment.”

This is something I think about a lot as an interior designer.
Many clients come to me with inspiration they’ve saved from social media, and while I love seeing what resonates with them, one of the most important conversations we have is about designing beyond trends.

A beautiful home isn’t just one that looks current today. It’s one that still feels intentional, functional, and reflective of who you are years from now.

When I’m designing a space, I’m constantly asking myself: Will this age well? Will it support my client’s lifestyle as it evolves? Will they still love it long after the trend cycle has moved on?

My goal isn’t to create a home that’s stuck in time, but to create a home that stands the test of time.

Canvas for Hope 🤍

When I joined the Benvenuto Club in Milan, I never imagined how much it would enrich my life.

What started as a way to meet people in a new country became so much more. Through this community, I’ve formed friendships that I know will stay with me for a lifetime. I’ve learned about different cultures, traditions, and perspectives through the incredible women I’ve met along the way.

Being part of Canvas for Hope felt like a reflection of everything I love about this group. A project built on creativity, friendship, collaboration, and the willingness to come together for something bigger than ourselves.

It was an honor to participate alongside such talented women and to support the FAWCO Foundation’s Power Her Path initiative through this exhibition.

My heart is full of gratitude for the friendships, memories, and experiences that have come from being part of this community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this special evening possible. 🤍

My Favorites ✨

Decorative objects are often the finishing layer in a room. They add texture, personality, and help a space feel collected rather than simply furnished.

Lately, I’ve been drawn to pieces that bring a touch of nature indoors, from coral-inspired accents and shell boxes to hand-finished ceramics and woven textures.

These are a few of my current favorites

Which one would you bring home? 🤍

I used to think being successful meant saying yes to more projects and staying busy all the time.

Now I care much more about taking on the right projects, protecting my creativity, and understanding that a thoughtful “no” is sometimes just as important as a yes.

Some of the best lessons in come from experience. Learning what aligns with your values, your process, and the kind of work you want to be known for is just as important as learning how to grow.

We are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow as we showcase the beautiful pieces created with love and purpose.
This project became so much more than I ever imagined because of the incredible women behind it. Watching talented, creative, and generous ladies come together to create, share ideas, and dedicate their time for something meaningful has been truly inspiring.
What started as a small idea close to my heart grew into something special, proof of how much beauty can come from women supporting one another and creating with kindness and intention.
I am incredibly proud of everything we have accomplished together, and we cannot wait to share it with you all. IVANA BORAC

A few things I probably had to learn the hard way…

Some lessons came through experience, some through mistakes, and some through projects that tested me more than I expected.

Over time, I’ve learned that good work is rarely just about aesthetics. It’s about communication, planning, instinct, boundaries, and knowing when to trust your experience.

How to get the Palm Beach look… without the Palm Beach price 🏝️ (entirely sourced from Amazon)

A relaxed mix of rattan, slipcovered upholstery, chinoiserie, natural textures, and soft coastal color, all pulled together into one easy living room board.

The key to this look is keeping the palette light, layering natural materials, and choosing pieces that feel collected rather than overly themed.

Proof that good design is usually about how things work together, not just where they’re from.

Eleven Women, Five Themes, One Charity Evening in Milan
Women, Colours and Friendship
On May 25th, 2026 at……(location) (time)
eleven women will present and sell their “Canvas for Hope” artworks in support of the FAWCO Foundation and its project “Power Her Path.”

When we first met at Ivana’s home in November 2025, I brought wool and knitting needles with me. I imagined we would sit together over coffee and tea, chat, knit, embroider, maybe paint a little — a relaxed gathering, nothing more.
But after just a few hours, it became clear that this meeting would turn into something much more than only a pleasant afternoon.
After many conversations and an inspiring exchange of ideas, we decided to create a shared project. Working around changing themes — Home, Water, Women, Energy and Nature — we would each translate our thoughts, memories and associations onto 18 x 24 canvases.
We are eleven women from the Benvenuto Club. Once a month, we meet to share our work — which we call “Canvas for Hope” — to discuss it, reflect on it, and explore how we could place the project within a charitable context.
To be honest, at first I could hardly imagine that we would actually follow through with it — let alone what kind of energy would come out of it. It all felt rather ambitious. And yet, the energy and enthusiasm that grew around it took me by surprise.
And that is exactly what happened.
Ivana did not simply have a good idea. She sparked something that quickly developed a momentum of its own. What began as a creative experiment turned into a connection between women who support, encourage and inspire one another.
By now, it is about far more than canvases and materials. It is about exchange, creativity and community. About the energy that is created when different perspectives and strengths come together.
We do not all think alike, and we do not all work alike. Each of us approaches the theme in her own way — and that is exactly where things become interesting. "ELKE KELLER"
