It’s finally finished!! I’ve had the material for this quilt since December and started working on it in May. It’s almost the end of July and it’s done just in time for when it’s needed most!
This quilt gave me a run for my money. I took it apart I don’t know how many times. So many times I was ready to give up.
I tried two different methods of putting this quilt together and ultimately went with the second one. If you look closely where the corners of the squares meet, I ended up hand tying the quilt together in those corners.
Instead of batting I used fleece to give it more weight and to make it extra thick and warm. The squares are all flannel and the backing is made from a flannel sheet.
This is by far the largest quilt I’ve completed so far!
When I bought all the flannel for this quilt the ladies in the quilt shop all complained about working with flannel and how much they never wanted to use flannel on their projects. But I actually quite enjoyed it!

It’s been a whirlwind of a time these last few months!! We left NC and ALL our plans changed in one day 😂 (iykyk 🫡)
We made it to Cali and have our house *mostly* set up.
And after a pretty rough few weeks of morning sickness, I think I’m finally getting back to normal.
I’m working on this flannel quilt for my husband before he has to leave for a while and just had to show it off!
If you have any projects in mind I’m happy to create them for you! ❤️
