Part 3 - Spent some time at the Air Force Armament Museum which was really cool, highly recommend 🇺🇸…then a night out for dinner at our fave restaurant, Boshamps, in Destin -the kids love their blue crab claws 🦀 and another day we rented a pontoon boat to hang out in the clear turquoise waters of Crab Island which is part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore 🌊 It was really pretty!! 😊

Part One - The Emerald Coast is so good for the soul 🌊 We did a road trip to Fort Walton Beach/Destin area in FL this last week with my sister, her hubs & cousins and had the best time!

We took off last Friday on Alex’s 11th birthday 🎉 and spent the night in Goodlettsville, TN as a little-over-halfway point for the drive. It was a cute mountain style cottage with a few surprise guests 🪳🕷️ so that wasn’t fun, but luckily we were only there for about 16 hours.

Continued to FL arriving around 5pm last Saturday. Seeing the beautiful turquoise waters was like something out of a painting 😍

We stayed in an awesome Airbnb condo that fit all 11 of us situated on the ground floor with our patio opening onto the pool/spa deck complete with BBQ and fire pit with boardwalk path to the gorgeous Gulf of America 🌊

Traveling this time of year avoids the big crowds, higher prices and super high humidity in FL. Cheers to homeschooling for a flexible schedule!

Ignore the Swiss cheese wall 😜

I don’t get to work with the pink/magenta slices too often so this one was a treat to create 😍 Featuring the Sunset Uma Wall Hanging with natural, amber and magenta pink Brazilian agate slices, white oak wood mount, brass wire and dark natural tassels 🌅

Measures 24” wide by 26” long with a 1.5” projection from the wall with brass double picture hanger style hardware on the back -hung with two simple nails.

Thoughts?

The agate clocks were my core business for many years. Over 10k sold from 2016-2024 between the signature desk versions to the many variations of wall styles.

Decided to play this afternoon and mix the agate slice with wood sunburst backing in birch, brass hardware, wool yarn and macrame cording for a very boho modern aesthetic.

Measures 12-inch wide by 15-inches long with a 1.5-inch projection from the wall. Listed on Etsy to start (ModNorthandCo).
